Matt MurdockDC, APRN-CNP (Chiropractic) (Nurse Practitioner)
Dr. Murdock is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. Dr. Murdock received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Palmer College of Chiropractic where he met his wife, Debbie, who is also a chiropractor. He opened his 1st office on the West side of Hamilton in 1996. He is grateful to the people of Hamilton and surrounding areas for supporting him and enabling his first office to be successful. In 1999, he and Debbie opened Hamilton Health Associates. Their idea was to have an office of multi-specialty providers who would work together for the benefit of the patient. In 2005, he was certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also certified as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physician.
In 2014-2016, Dr. Murdock was JH Track head coach at Cincinnati Christian School. He also coached the Varsity team with shot put, high jump and discus events. Dr. Murdock has completed all requirements to be a Kinesio Tex Tape Practitioner. In 2018, Dr. Murdock graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He has completed his MSN-FNP Family Nurse Practioner in December 2019. He hopes to be able to offer his patients diverse treatments for managing injuries with this additional degree. He has always had a passion for helping people and explaining to them the causes of their spinal and other health problems.
He resides in Liberty Township with his wife, son, daughter, and a dog. He loves all sports, auto racing, outdoor activities, beach walks, and spending time with his family.
CLINICAL ROTATIONS 2019
Dr. Murdock performed clinical rotations with Kettering Physician Network Primary Care at Walden Ponds Medical Care with Dr. Dennis Anthony.
Dr. Murdock also performed a sports medicine and orthopedic surgical rotation with Dr. Jonathan Paley at Dayton Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Center.
Dr. Murdock continued his primary care clinical rotation through Kettering Physician Network Primary Care at Hamilton Health Center on Main with Dr. Shanthi Rajaratnam.

Dr. Murdock is in an ongoing Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery clinical rotation with Dr. Jonathan Paley at Dayton Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Center. Dr. Murdock is continuing his education working toward 2,000 hours for an orthopedic nurse practitioner certification.
Debbie MurdockDC, FIACA (Acupuncture treatment)
Dr. Debbie Murdock offers acupuncture services at Hamilton Health Associates. She trained under Dr. Zev Myerowitz in multiple styles and methods of acupuncture, homeopathy, Chinese herbal remedies, and cupping. She has extensive training in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Auricular(Ear) Acupuncture, and Master Tung Acupuncture. She treats spinal and joint pain as well as chronic pain syndromes. She also works with psychological conditions such as anxiety, PTSD, and depression. She also practices the NADA protocol for Auricular acupuncture. This technique was used to treat first responders during the 9/11 attcks and for hurricane Katrina. She utilizes electroacupuncture which increases the 'deqi' and boosts the therapeutic effectiveness of the treatment.
Dr. Debbie completed a certification in Dry Needling in February 2020. Dry needling is a needling technique that offers treatment and relief for treating trigger points in muscle tissue.
Dr. Debbie Murdock lives with her husband Matt and 2 teenage children. She loves all animals big and small and enjoyed competing in Equestrian Dressage and show jumping in her youth. She co-owns Hamilton Health Associates with Dr. Matt Murdock.
Patrick MurphyP.T., A.T.C., C.E.E.S. (Physical Therapy)
Patrick's career began at Bethesda Oak Hospital where he worked in all of the Physical Therapy departments. Next, he worked in a private practice for ten years and was integral in the expansion of locations from one to seven. Then, Patrick went on to work at Ohio Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine for ten years. While there, he started the P.T. Department and expanded it to four locations with nineteen employees. Patrick then moved to Riverhills Neuroscience where he worked hand in hand with Neurosurgeons and Neurologists and headed their P.T. department. He has a great appreciation for learning and believes strongly in reading and continuing education. Patrick completed his degrees in physical therapy and sports medicine at the University of Cincinnati. He is also a certified athletic trainer, as well as a certified ergonomic evaluation specialist. In addition to formal training, he recognizes that 'everyday you can learn from your patients.'
When not at Hamilton Health Associates, Patrick's time is devoted to his family. He and his wife, Lorie, have two children: Sean and Mackenzie. They enjoy camping and hiking as a family, or watching the kids play baseball or soccer. Family time is important to Patrick, explaining, 'to some it may sound like a boring life - but to me, its everything.
Tricia Giessler ZaferesPsy. D. (Adult Psychology)
Dr. Tricia Giessler
Zaferesis a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in treatment and assessment of adults with industrial injuries, chronic pain and health problems. She also enjoys treating adults facing struggles with depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions. She is passionate about helping her patients learn to balance mental and physical health and increase self-care to achieve better overall health. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Xavier University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from Wright State University. Dr. Giessler Zaferes completed a pre-doctoral internship with a focus in health psychology at the Veterans’ Affairs hospital in Dallas, Texas.
In her free time, Dr. Giessler Zaferes enjoys running and has completed 4 half marathons. An avid sports fan, Dr. Giessler Zaferes enjoys cheering on the local hometown teams, especially Xavier basketball, the Bengals and the Reds.
Mary Heet(Massage Therapist)
Mary H. Heet graduated in 2009 from Cincinnati School for Medical Massage. She got interested in Medical Massage because she has a chronic illness-Lupus. Mary was lucky enough to have 2 great teachers who specialized in pain relief therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy and trigger point work. Mary enjoys helping her clients be as pain free as possible.
Mary grew up in Ross, Ohio on a large farm raising beef cattle. She enjoys the shooting sports, fishing, traveling and spending time with her friends.
She currently resides in East Hamilton with her husband Wayne and her 2 fur babies, Raven and Cheyenne
